Embrace silence in your life – giving yourself time for rest and peace
“Silence is God's first language. Everything else is a poor translation.”
Fr Thomas Keating O.C.S.O.
“Just as the petals of a water lily uncurl when the sun shines, so the closed hearts of people unfold when they are silent.” Quaker origin.
“Holiness is the radiance of divine love shining forth from those who have surrendered to it and who are allowing themselves to be transformed by it.”
from Robert Llewelyn.
Consider meditating with others for peace
8Peace begins in the heart of each one of us yet it is always good and nourishing to gather with others to offer a silent meditation for peace.
There is a monthly Meditation for Peace at St Luke's Church Centre on Aylsham Road, Norwich on the second Sunday of the month from 5.15 – 6.15pm
Why not come and be with us for peace on October 8th, November 12th, December 10th?
If you cannot be with us in person, perhaps you would like to share silence with us at home for as long as you wish between 5.15 and 6.15pm, because it does good, for you and for others.
Take time to celebrate beauty in nature
