Llewelyn Archive
The Llewelyn Archive is divided between Norwich Cathedral Library which holds the more delicate material such as manuscripts, and The Julian Centre on Rouen Road, Norwich which has material that Robert had created during his lifetime – leaflets and articles on Julian of Norwich and Contemplative Prayer – that people can take free copies of should they wish to. The Archive was launched on Friday 19th April 2013 with a celebratory gathering of sixty people at the Weston Room at Norwich Cathedral. Elements of the Archive and Robert’s new book were available for people to see as well as an exhibition of Robert’s life. The celebration was also to mark the republication of “With Pity Not With Blame”, a book that was first published in 1982 and which “explores one of the richest streams of the Christian tradition: contemplative prayer with the medieval English mystics, Julian of Norwich and the anonymous author of “The Cloud of Unknowing”. |
